ABOUT
Nearly a decade after the UNL Women's Hockey program was discontinued, a dedicated group of students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln came together to revive the team. Following months of meticulous planning and hard work, the team was officially reinstated and became part of the University's Sports Club Council on March 8, 2017, marking a significant milestone for women's hockey in Nebraska.

Competing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's West Region under the leadership of Head Coach Nate Henke, UNL Women's Hockey is more than just a team—it's a movement. As a club sport, the team is passionate about raising awareness of hockey in Nebraska, with a strong focus on growing the presence of women's hockey in the state. Players not only compete but also volunteer their time to coach youth girls’ hockey, nurturing the next generation of female athletes and helping to create a lasting legacy for the sport.

With a commitment to community, excellence, and progress, UNL Women’s Hockey is working to inspire young athletes and elevate the profile of women's hockey in Nebraska.
